BE² February News: New Working Paper!

• The 2025 Movement for Reading Comprehension Regional Meeting was held from 9–16 December 2025, bringing together more than 400 organisations across Latin America to advance reading comprehension as a national priority. The programme featured over 20 live-streamed sessions with policymakers and international experts sharing evidence and country experiences to strengthen reading outcomes. Watch the recording here.
• How can youth voices strengthen multilingual education? A UNESCO-hosted webinar will take place on 13 February 2026, exploring how student perspectives can inform multilingual education policies and practices across diverse contexts. Register here.
• [Crisis Spotlight] Protecting the Right to Education in Sudan. An INEE Community Conversation will take place on 17 February 2026, from 12:00 UTC, focusing on education in emergencies and the protection of education rights, with reflections from practitioners and partners working in crisis-affected settings. Register here.
• The UNESCO conference “The Renewal of the Scientific Contract of Education” will be held on 18 February 2026, bringing together researchers, educators, policymakers, and social and economic partners to reflect on the future of education research and contribute to redefining the New Scientific Contract in Education. The event will take place in person at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, and will be conducted in English and French. Register here.
