- IIEP UNESCO – Strategic Debate #2: Strategies to Improve Learning Equity and Prevent School Dropouts will be held on 1st July 2025, from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM Paris time. The online session held by IIEP UNESCO will spotlight innovative measures from Africa, Europe, and Latin America to advance learning equity and prevent dropouts, with a focus on early detection and targeted action for marginalized learners. - IIEP UNESCO Strategic Debate Series – Further debates will take place on 23 September, and 18 November 2025, from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm Paris time. Access the recording of the first debate here.
- World Summit on Teachers will be held in Santiago de Chile on 28–29 August 2025, with a “Day Zero” on 27 August for cultural activities and pre-accreditation. Organized by UNESCO and the Government of Chile, the Summit will gather ministers, teacher representatives, and key education stakeholders to address teacher shortages and strengthen global support for the teaching profession. - Digital Learning Week 2025: AI and the Future of Education — Disruptions, Dilemmas and Directions will take place from 2–5 September 2025 at UNESCO Headquarters, Paris. The event will bring together experts, educators, and policymakers to explore how to harness AI’s potential while addressing critical questions of equity, ethics, and human agency — ensuring technology supports inclusive, human-centred education futures. - Scaling Innovative Approaches to Early Childhood Education: Evidence and Experience was held on March 6th, 2025, from 9:00–10:30 AM EST. The online webinar shared findings from eight GPE KIX projects on inclusive early childhood education, highlighting play-based learning and teacher development. Speakers included partners from ECDAN, IDRC, GPE KIX, the LEGO Foundation, and AfECN. You can access the recording here.
- We successfully completed a virtual workshop, jointly organized with KIX EMAP on implementation research. The workshop leverages our BE2 Implementation Research guidance note and was delivered for KIX EMAP member countries (Europe, Middle East and North Africa, Asia and Pacific region) on June 28 and 29 in English, Arabic and Russian. A translation of the guidance note into Russian and Arabic will be available soon.
